her majesty's raft

Four years after a road trip that crossed the Mississippi in the misty summer morning, and a careless conversation "we should build a raft and float this river..." "...yes".

One year after gathering designs, materials, and fantasies, Scherloum and collaborator Hannah B. Harris arrived at a small piece of land on the St. Croix river and began building.

Three months later she was born: Her Majesty's Raft C. Bernadette Able, who carried Lindsey Scherloum and Hannahb Harris halfway down the Mississippi river, and who for six months was their home.
